I’m sick of downloading huuuuuge sample packs when all I really want are the drum samples.
IMHO, programming synths and samplers is easier than tripping over a small dog and I have no use for all the crappy synths and basses and pads that are included with most sample packs.
And drum loops are fun for fills and filtering, but not when you use them as the entire basis of your track. Creating a drumline is really quite simple and will pretty much define the entire groove of a track. Why would you want to depend on someone elses sense of style and rhythm when writing music is suppossed to be such a personal thing?
As such, this thread will contain a few popular sample packs stripped down to just the drum hits and maybe some percussive loops. This obviously makes the downloads quite small. Its a win-win situation.
